work sux!!!

i am seriously thinking about looking for another job! i had a run in with one of the other nurses who rubs me up the wrong way. i HATE her. i know thats a powerful word, but honest to god her and i dont see eye to eye. you know 2 peple can get along in this world and 2 cant. we fit into the clash side of personalities. i refuse to work with her any more. i have told that to the person who does the staff rostering.
any way this is what happened:
A patient of mine needed catheterising for a urine specimen.( i cant do this procedure, its not in my job description.)Mary(the nurse i dislike) asked me if mrs x had been catheterised. i responded with a no, as i cant do that. she said i should have asked someone else. i told her i didnt ask anyone else as everyone was run off there feet, its been a really busy shift.she then threatens me and says well the doctors wont be happy tomorrow when their doing there rounds, they will ask who was looking after this patient and why wasnt a urine specimen collected? i then said to her well i will tell them the truth. that i cannot catheterise and that no one else was available to do it due to a hectic shift. she still went on and on saying it will be me and no one else to blame as i was responsible for that patient. anyway i went and put the patient on a pan and told them to try and pass urine as the doctors need a specimen to be sent to pathology.yay! a specimen was collected and sent. i told mary and she said "well done!" what a suck.....i HATE her...
today was also a shift that made my blood boil!!! they had a fricken one hour session on scrap booking...yeah like thats got a lot to do with health care. myself and two other nurses were on the ward as well as four other students.(what a great example for students..NOT). i found this to be morally incorrect. it was a social thing that was on during work hours. it should have been planned to commence during social time....thats my whinge.ARGH!!!!!

tassie in 2 days, and 5 days off. thank FUCKING goodness.....
